Our feet are put to the test every day because they are the ones who carry us. And unfortunately, we only give them little time for their beauty. Find out how to take care of your feet in a few simple gestures and rituals to integrate into your daily care routine.
How to take care of your feet?
If you don’t have time to take care of your feet, you should at least think about moisturizing them every day. Choose a specific ultra-nourishing treatment to soften them and protect your skin. Apply a dab of cream on your clean feet, with your fingertips and in light massages for a relaxing effect. You can also use an anti callus cream for the bottom of the feet, especially the heel. You absolutely must repeat this operation every day to obtain pretty healthy and soft feet, winter and summer.
Footbaths to take care of your feet?
Footbaths are a beauty gesture used for millennia in many civilizations. Its interest lies in its relaxing effect, which makes it well-being care in its own right. Thanks to them, forget the overheating at the end of the day and relax. They will also have purifying effects and will prepare your feet for the treatments to come.
- A straightforward recipe is to pour 2 to 3 tablespoons of sea salt (unrefined) in lukewarm water and to immerse your feet 10 to 15 minutes. Your skin will be soothed, and you will be relaxed.
- You can add to this bath five drops of lavender essential oil and 5 of mint for a purifying and refreshing effect.
- For whiter nails, finish with a last bath of water to which you will add a little hydrogen peroxide or lemon juice.
- Then move on to the thorough drying of your feet: humidity is their worst enemy. Do not forget to pass your towel between the toes.
Foot baths are performed 2 to 3 times a week. You can choose to make a foot scrub and use a pumice stone to remove calluses if necessary.
Massages to lighten your feet and relax?
Massages allow you to relax and free yourself from daily stress. Let yourself be tempted by some gentle gestures taken from plantar reflexology.
Stretch your toes and press your arch with your closed fist. Then massage the bottom of the feet with your thumb. Dwell on the painful points. Two to three minutes of massage should be enough.
Masks for very damaged feet?
The skin on our feet needs to care as our face, so don’t hesitate to apply a nourishing mask every week.
After bathing and exfoliating, take a massive nut of nourishing balm for dry or dehydrated feet and coat your feet with it. Check that the rougher areas are covered with product.
Let it sit for as long as you want, knowing that the longer the time, the more effective the mask will be. The best time is to put it on just before bed. Wear socks so that the cream does not stain your sheets.
Repeat this treatment several times a week for incredibly soft feet.
